Fruit-frosted donuts recipes

Let's make it

Step 1
Line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper and wire rack. Line second rimmed baking pan with parchment paper. In medium microwave-safe bowl melt wafers in microwave oven as label directs. Makes about 2 cups.
Step 2
Divide 1 1/2 cups melted wafers into 3 small bowls; reserve remaining melted wafers. Place 4 drops green food color in 1 bowl, 4 drops orange food color in second bowl and 4 drops red food color in remaining bowl; stir each to combine.
Step 3
Transfer 1/3 of the green melted wafers to 1 sandwich bag and snip corner with kitchen scissors; pipe 12 "leaves" on prepared pan. Transfer pan to freezer; freeze 5 minutes or until hardened.
Step 4
Reheat melted wafers as necessary if begins to harden. Dip 3 donuts in white melted wafers, allowing excess to drip off; transfer to wire rack. Place chocolate chips on donuts to create "apple seeds"; cool completely. Transfer remaining white melted wafers to remaining sandwich bag; snip corner with kitchen scissors.
Step 5
Dip 3 donuts in remaining green melted wafers, allowing excess to drip off; transfer to wire rack lined pan. Pipe white melted wafers on center of green donuts; using toothpick, swirl green and white melted wafers together to create center of kiwi. Place chocolate chips on donuts to create "seeds"; cool completely.
Step 6
Dip 3 donuts in orange melted wafers, allowing excess to drip off; transfer to wire rack. Carefully attach 2 melted wafer "leaves" to each donut, using green melted wafers in bag; cool completely.
Step 7
Dip 3 donuts in red melted wafers, allowing excess to drip off; transfer to wire rack. Stick 2 pretzel sticks through top of each donut to create "cherry stems"; carefully attach 3 melted wafer "leaves" to "stems", using green melted wafers in bag. Cool donuts completely.
Step 8
Dip edges of 3 white donuts in red melted wafers, allowing excess to drip off; transfer to wire rack. Carefully attach 3 melted wafer "leaves" to donuts, using green melted wafers in bag; stick 1/2 pretzel sticks through top of donuts to create "apple stems" and cool completely.
